Cisadventures of Trans Media

Content Warning: Transphobia, trap nonsense
Why there is so little good trans representation? Are cis people just uninterested in trans people? Well, no, thankfully! Cis people actually love to see trans people in media. As objects. Objects of:
  • Pity: Look how much I am suffering, feel sorry for me, oh Great Cis!
  • Ridicule: Oh gosh it is so fun, when he wears wake up and tries to walk on heels! Go sis, I like being gender fluid too....
  • Horror: Boooo, I don't fit in patriarchy, and that's the source of my evil! (And I drink blood sometimes.)
  • Sex: Tee-hee, I pee with my peen! I only exist to make men confused for their sexuality uwu
But never as individuals with equal worth to them, I mean, what's next, giving citizenship to dogs?...
They love trans media where trans people suffer, but only internally and never pointing out at fingers to who causes trans people's problems? So they can enjoy being tolerant, moral and wokewhile enjoy our existence as a drama.
They really love gender non conformity! But only when it's for comedy, something to gawk at, revel in its wackiness, so they can pat themselves in the back for being progressive while mocking the politicians they don't like by implying transness. The hack comedian's favourite stock joke: Man dressing as a woman, helicopter gender, and such classics, never fails you making you cringe, i-i mean twinge, the kind you get when you laugh a lot, or something.
Even word "bad" possibly points out to transness. Transness or even just not being cishet is an inherently wicked, horrifying position to be in, this way both cis fears are validated and they become virtuous to accepting monsters like us. Woe to the cis person, who needs tolerate a trans person who can't pass, or god forbid, who needs to remember an unusual pronoun. Undertaking such a gargantuan mission practically makes them a saint.

History and Etymology for bad

Adjective
Middle English badde, bad, of obscure origin
Note: The Middle English word apparently appears as a surname or element in surnames in the 13th century, but as an independent adjective not before the 14th century. The supposed connection with the marginally attested Old English words bæddel, bædling (vowel length uncertain) "hermaphrodite, homosexual" is possible but uncertain (direct descent of badde from bæddel through phonetic reduction is unlikely).
-From Merriam Webster
Chasers do really think they are special to wanting to have sex with trans people. Their their sudden shock and frustration can be read by every single word that comes out of them when trans people reject their advances, their anger of being deprived from their object of reward for being so daring. Trans people are uncharted lands after all, the act of actually wanting a trans person in a relationship is the height of bravery. These courageous gentlemen (usually men) should be hailed as pioneers!
Trans people are great, so long as they embrace being marked as alien, as they accept being other, they accept being toys for cis entertainment.
Trans media, leaning on stereotypes? Excellent, challenging, how thought-provoking! A prominent trans figure telling what cis people wants to hear? Awesome!.. As long as you don't offend cis sensibilities, as long as you stroke cis ego, you are the greatest.. Make up, fashion, drag shows, all the things sparkly and cutesy... That's what trans people are there for!.. And if they silently accept degrading words and misgendering, that's just the best! Just cutesy, sexy thing, we are having a good time and we are being so open-minded!
But what if you, pitiful trans, want to be treated as an equal human being? What if you assert that your pronouns or name is important? What if you imply cis people need to change their worldview and gasp your problems are caused by them?
No, no, no, then you are a bad tran! You have an ideology, an agenda, you are angry and paranoid. You are the reason why cis people hate trans people. In fact, you are oppressing when you call someone cis, just accept they are normal.
Trans people are good as drama, newspaper pieces, documentaries. But when they are from your family, when they become real, they are unacceptable. We all have fun with some degeneracy, some breakin' the mold. But when they are children, that's way too close to everyday life! Danger, sound the alarm! We need to lock this stuff away, trans people must remain a curiosity in the underground!..
The most unfortunate a cis person becomes when they encounter media that portrays transness as a positive and trans people as autonomous beings having capable of complex personalities. What, they don't solely exist for cis amusement? How morbid! They aren't trans, despite all the coding or official canon statement! Truly scary is implying cis people should not have authority on transness! A trans person in a normal show... can't exist? Oh. oh, they must be a trap!
Trap, trap, trap, oh god trap! The darling of the cis anime enthusiast, their favourite word... Comedy, horror, tragedy, fun, sexual appeal all come together for the perfect trans object! Wait, obviously, the word isn't for trans people, stop being offended! Basically any time a media hints at trans people the word is dropped at the speed of light, but that clearly -- obviously -- does not mean anything, no one ever would dehumanize trans people. Except when they don't want to be my fetish, they are es-jey-double-yous, the snowflakes, the uppity transgendereds, the evil transtrender to good mythical transsexual, the grinch, the little snitch, vermins, degenerates! How dare they imply the normals are wrong?!! Hah, No wonder no one likes trans people!
Transphobia? That's not a thing sweetie, no one has a problem with us! As long as you sit down, smile, take cute pictures and accept whatever fate cis -- ahem normal people -- decide for you, and, stop acting like a victim, step out of your bubble, and look at real world. Look, what cis people have to deal with:
The words cannot describe it! An eldritch abomination, an apocalypse, an existential threat! An anime where a trans person is revealed openly and clearly and does not played up as a joke, fetish fuel, a shock object or cheap sob-party!
Woe to the cis people who has been suffering by this! Must be an unimaginable pain, like monsters tearing out flesh from your body, or perhaps a zombie, like Lily from that unholy, despicable anime Zombie Land Saga. How cisfortunate!...
trans lily
Go watch Zombie Land Saga, and witness the abyss.
And press F, for the cis.
